RB25DET vs RB25DET NEO

Hi,

I'm new to the world of RBs so if this question has been asked before I'm sorry. I'm wanting to swap out my old tired L26 for an RB25DET NEO. Through my little bit of research I have found that this is slightly more powerful alternative to the regular RB25. My question is when it comes to upgrading, and you know I will be, are there any major issues that I might run into when dealing with the 25 NEO vs an ordinary 25DET. I notice there aren't many NEOs out there so I attribute this to either everybody wants one or few people want them because they're too much of a hassle to deal with when it comes to upgrading. I would appreciate any and all knowledge that someone could give me before I make my final decision.
