RB25DET Valve cover screw/bolts.

okay so i go to finally install my RB25 valve covers and im missing ONE of those half washer half rubber grommet thing that goes on under the screw. any USDM cars have these that i can order from the dealer. i have the other 19 of them (there is suppose to be 20 total). but i would like to replace them all if possible.

secondly can i ditch the screws and go to bolts?

I would. I was looking at rotorimp's RB this weekend and thought, "That thing needs some allen head bolts."

Take one of your screws to Ace hardware and have them find you some allen head bolts that match.

i actually went to all bolts, no washers. tried putting some rubber washers from ace, but they just squished and didnt let the cover seal.

so far no problems and no leaks

I've been trying to find that part number again for awhile- thanks man. I bought some ace washer/grommets but I'll just pick up the real thing rather than risk it either scratching my nice new purdy cam cover paintjob, or not sealing correctly.

Not sure been a long time, but I belive they are M6 x 1.0

I switched the stock ones out for Allen heads that I had from Lawson.But Ace hardware should have them though.

did you use the OEM washer/rubber grommet with the new allen heads or did you switch to regular washers?

Yeah I re-used the rubber grommets and I also used washers with the bolts.
