I woud like to know some of you guys opinion on this idea that i want for a project car. Assuming that the car already has the rb25det in it and is a daily driver this are the mods i have planned for it: A) GREDDY INTAKE MANIFOLD B) TWIN TURBOS (POSSIBLY 2 MITSUS 16GS WITH INTERNAL W/G FOR EASIER PLUMMNIG. C) EXHAUST MANIFOLD ( LOG STYLE 1 FOR EACH TURBO) D) APEX POWER FC AND COMMANDER E) FUEL PUMP F) INJECTORS ( 740CC) ECT......

I want 450 to maybe 500whp and i know i could do this with a single turbo set up; but IMO since this motor has some what high cr i'm not planning on going extreme high boost(20psi and above) Your thoughts and comments are welcome thank you:cool:

First whatt is your reason for the TT swap??? Just to say its TT?? OR are you try to get a fast spool with moderate HP gain?????????? Yes it can be done. Cost is higher than a single set up of the same power.. Much harder to do the work double everthing... Your choice TT or not...

The only reason i can see it being worth it would be if a sequncial (spelling?) setup. Otherwise its just more money to say you got TT...if you want it that bad, get a RB26!

I guess you can say that i'm looking for fast spool and moderate hp . Also the price of the rb26dett would raised the cost about $2000 over the rb25, which is around what it would cost for the two turbos and manifold...I guess i want to try something different

Put an rb26 head on the rb25! i did not know it was possible; but why? what gains can i obtain by doing this? one plus is that i will not have clearance problems fit the motor into an s14 body given the desing of the intake manifold of the rb26. Also it is not easy to get an rb26 head here in the U.S.. But thank you for idea, i'll keep that in mind.

Two turbos= two problems. You can swap heads but you cant use the 25 head bolts, they are smaller in diameter then the 26 ones.

Get a T3T4 Hybrid turbine. You'll have good spool and more power. Oh and 700cc injectors are to big for a max hp goal of 500.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get an RB26 w/ an RB25 transmission?

careful with the generalities, the 26 is not unbeatable. They get chumped by 25s all the time 100ccs don't make that much difference.

RBs all have that distinctive sound, All the Nissan engines have a certain sound to them that after a while you can pick out. It freaks Japanese guys out when I can tell what they have before they open the hood.

the more you work on it the better you will get. Having a POS builds your skills beleive me! My first car was a 72' Opel. I doubt you know what that is, neither did the shops in my town so guess who became a self-taught Opel mechanic at 16!

My GT was the shizzy, it was designed by duntov the same guy who did the Vette. I just wish I had money back then(or now for that matter!) so i could have boosted it the way I wanted to.

it was sold in the states at Buick dealers who did very little to promote the cars and then cursed their low sales. It came with a 1.9 liter SOHC I-4 with 90hp. These things are fun as hel to drive, I could run with a HachiRoku in one of these the power is decent and the handling excellent. I miss my little frog-eyed baby vette.
