rb25det turbo in rb20

hello,

i know that the rb25det turbo will bolt right up into the rb20. Since my rb20 turbo is going out on my then im thinking about getting the rb25det turbo...how many HP do you think i can get out of this turbo?

Anyone have an rb25det stock turbo for sale???

I was looking to do the same thing. But I was told to go with the Z31 Turbo. On http://www.meggala.com they put a Z31 turbo on an rb20 in a gts skyline and it ran mid to low 13's. Then they put an RB25 Turbo on and it did low 14's high 13's. The main prob. with the Z31 is it has more lag. It doesn't spool up till 3000, and boost at 4000. They say it's good for drag, but the RB25 turbo is better for Drift. I'm looking for whatever turbo I can bolt right up and get good power.

with an safc and some tuning with a rb25 turbo you should be able to break 300hp. i see it all the time on the skyline forums.thats with stock injectors and fuel pressure regulator.

RB25 turbo will not bolt to your downpipe....

Different bolt pattern, I believe....could be wrong though.

RB20 and RB25 Turbos have the same outlet pattern. I have one of each and the outlets are interchangable. I have nocticed there are some minor differences in the oil and water feed lines.

im using a rb20 turbo on my rb25.

had to use my 25's wastegate cause the 20 didnt have one. but besides using the 20's air outlet elbow, it all bolted up exactly.

Are there any issues with using the 25 turbo and rigging up the oil/water feeds? What about the Z31 snail? Ive read on Meggala's site about the restrictor in the oil feed, but aside from a new dump pipe, thats all Id need to mod, right?
