I was wondering how well an RB25DET swap fits into an s13, I was talking with a guy from a tuning shop and he was telling me that the motors dont fit well and they are too heavy for the car, and disrupt the balance of the car. This aroused some suspicion because I have seen a number of s13's with the RB swap done.Could anyone tell me how the car feels after this swap and how it would compare to an SR swap. those are my options either an RB25 or an SR20 so if anyone can offer some clarification that would be great. thanks alot._kyle

I spoke with taylor from enjuku and he said the same things. I find this very hard to believe that the rb25 doesnt work well with the 240...

Yeah, actually you are correct, the RB doesn't work too well in the 240SX. That is why alot of people have actually DUMPED the SR20 for the RB25. Because they want a car that drives like ****. I think that everyone out there with an RB20/RB25 is stupid because they disrupted that precious balance of the 240SX(Which really wasnt there to begin with). You should all get rid of them and go back to the SR20DET. I want to be unique again!!!

Talk to some place that specializes with RB's like McKinney and ask them what they think of the swap. You dont ask a towtruck driver what the best way to build that new back deck on your house is, don't ask an SR20 specialist about the RB swap.

Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against Enjuku, they are just treading on unfamiliar ground with this one.
