ok i just bought a 1993 240sx at the begining of last summer. When i first got it it looked like the girl who had it flipped it upsidedown and it slide for 300 yards. There was dents and scrapes everywhere. I went right to work i painted it myself its pearl black i threw on an intake just because. the KA in there now has been bored out, not sure how much the girl had that done. I really didnt plan on doing much with the KA in there cuz everyone that iv talked to says that the KA'a dont handle turbos well, it seems to be a pretty powerful motor but i was thinking of swapping it out with an RB25det from a skyline. I know where i can get a motor at a pretty good price but i wanted to know whats all invloved in doing this. I'm worried about the wiring harness, from what a hear its pretty complicated. If anyone has any info about doing this swap it would be very helpful to me. thanks.

theres a TON of info on this site, and also on http://www.racebread.com if you would just search.

theres a specific forum on here dedicated to the rb series, try browsing in there. if u need help on more something more specific, try searching in there, then post about it. i can be of some help, i did the swap on my own. its pretty spendy and time consuming to work out a lot of the lil bugs.

on another note, ka turbos are very respectable and can handle boost with the right mods. im not too familiar with the ka-t but im sure somone on here will chime in and help u on that end if u decide to go that route

thanks so much man.... i love this car and for my high school graduation the rb is my big present haha. i want to do this myself because i think ill appreciate it alot more than just giving someone the money to do it. Theres a shop down here its called speedworks and they said they could get me a motor for around $1800 but they want lik 3 grand to put it in, so i just figured id do it myself. o and thats awesome that you're from alaska im a hockey player, must be awesome to be up there.
