Is it possible to get an rb25det front clip shipped to the D.C. area for $3000? Flash Options is not an option. I have been in contact with them over email for a month trying to buy a clip. They are bs-ing me. I am actually trying to buy the rb clip for me and a ek9 clip for a buddy of mine. You would think that for two clips Flash Options would show a little more interest. Maybe they dont like money?:(

Contact the moderator Dauntless, he sells sr clips, so he might be able to find you a RB clip.

Ask Night, he should be able to hook you up. I believe he and daunt have the lowest prices, however i don't think Daunt sell clips, just complete engines.

I do not think the $3000 shipped is a price you can get from a good dealer. Good clean engine/clips cost more than that. We sell them to but not at that kind of price..

well, anyone who sells clips for more than what I am looking for always assume that since the clip is less money than the dealer is not reputable. I do not doubt that McKinney sells good clips but 4000 or 4500 is way overpriced!!

Our clips are $4000 or less on sale, but the lower miles very clean and inspected. We are not trying to sell tons of the as we keep most for our own installs, but the old saying still applies you get what you pay for. I'm sure Night, Acclerated , Dauttless and Unstable have good one's too.

There are tons of stories on here about the mess some have gotten in try to save a few bucks, I'm just saying that buy from some one that your sure will stand behind you if some thing goes wrong..

Night and Accelerated have both answered many of my questions without trying to make a sale. They both have been very informative and decent about some of the questions I have had. They also have the best prices. Thank you for your reply.

So around $4,000 for a clip and how much for install? Also, if you buy the clip from McKinney would the install price at your shop be the same as if you bought it from Night or someone else and brought it to McKinney?

Also, when you buy the engine you also get the transmission, so the car it goes into can be either 5 speed or automatic. How much extra would it cost to do this swap into an automatic S13?

So that rb25 that was installed was from Venus? Are you happy with its condition?

Why dont you give it a shot yourself? It would be cheaper and you can learn a lot. And most people that claim to do quality install jobs dont usually know more than you or I. I am not talking about anyone specific because outside my own area I do not know anyone who does them

Well, I know my stuff, but I've proven myself to be horrible with working on engines. Also, I don't particularly trust myself to do something that complicated. There's also a time factor involved and the ability to get/use the correct tools for the job.

So what's the best price people have gotten RB25DET's for, and where?

What's the best price people ahve gotten RB26DETT's for, and where?

I'm not sure what other shops include with there install. We provide complete motor kit, our mount kit and new driveshaft, all new belts, hoses, fluids, new down pipe, intake filter , FMIC and all piping, oil pressure and water temp gauges, install customers options at no cost, like Greddy intake and boost controler, ect.. There are several good shops doing install on the RB motors We been doing the RB25 longer than most and work hard to provide a stock looking install at a fair price. Compare and chose the best one for you.Mack @ Mckinney Motorsports

And how much is the cost affected if the car the RB is being transplanted into is an automatic? Is it just smarter to have it be manual in the first place?

What is the output of the McKinney RB25 kit with the FMIC, Dp, etc...?

stock rb25 turbo can only take about 10psi (reliably), that would be the first thing to replace.
