I am looking for an rb25det front clip. Flash Options said that they would sell me one for $2530 shipped. They are giving me the runaround so if anyone can come even close to that without a lot of bs, I will buy from them the next day.

I have talked to night, and he does seem very reasonable. I just cant afford 3250 plus shipping. 2530 is a very good price, but so is 50 cents, either is useless without the engine to back it up. Ya Know.

That is a very good point. I am taking that into consideration and that is probably what I will do. I just wanted to know what everyone thought. How do you know night?

There is alot of work to be done to put a RB25 in the vehicle. Many things like driveshaft, transmission mounts, motor mounts/crossmember, downpipe, radiator, etc. etc. etc.

Some things to look out for on the RB25... 1. Get a series 1 motor, these are out of the early R33 GTSTs2. The turbo sucks... 14 psi on the turbo is asking for death. 3. The headgasket is crap4. Once you modify the motor, up the boost, BPU, you will have a/f's around 10:1 under boost.

Enjoy your swap :)

Well, I have to get an rb before I can tackle the swap. And I cant find a reputable seller for a good price. 3000 shipped is what I need. So if anyone has one or knows of one let me know. [email protected]

Although this is true...make sure you know what you're getting into before you buy the motor. After doing some research it might not be a good idea to do a particular swap. For instance, what are your power goals? If you say anything less than 350hp...many people are going to suggest you go with the SR. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but rather suggest that you have everything planned out. :icesangel

I defineatly appreciate your concern. My power goals are 450 to 500whp. I have two master mechanics helping me with this swap and rb power is what I am looking for. Thank you again. Have you done a nissan swap?

I have not done a swap. I don't have the mechanical skills to tackle something like this on my own. I'd like RB power also, but until recently, I didn't know anyone who had performed an SR swap. Night makes a very good point about the RB so I'm thinking of trying to get one. I don't want to be in a situation where I get an engine and can't keep it running :(

Sounds like you know what you are after, 450-500 hp is a lot of power. Please keep us informed as to how the project is going. Also what body are you putting the engine into? I have an S14, so if that's the body, then I'm especially interested!

yeah bro, I have a 96 240sx. I am kinda pissed that I dont have the 5 lug spindles as I dont have the SE. But that is going to be remedied. I pulled the engine out of it already and am just waiting for a replacement. Its going to be sweet.

Thanks dude! I really appreciate the compliment. Some of my friends were giving me a hard time about the color. I started calling it the f@g wagon as a joke. I love my 240! Just need to do an engine swap and I'll be unable to contain myself.

What do your friends drive? Obviously they have no taste in color!:alcoholic

They drive American cars, like Ford Tarus and Chevy Luminas. Of course that will make my victory even sweeter when I swap the engine and start spanking them!
