Probably was a freakin chipmunk.I left the shifter hole open for 2 months b/c i was waiting on a shifter bushing to come in and then when i went back out there to put it in the interior was covered in poop.I think you can actually see it on the valve cover in one of those pictures.

LOL i was in a panic.lol The a/c pulley was bending the core support and i had already ripped 2 wires apart so i was pissed. So he took charge and got a 2x4 and jumped in a helped me out.Hes really good about helping,we help each other out.Hes got a Jeep CJ5 project going on that helped break down so we trade help.lol

My dad has a 79 cj5 with a 4.5" suspension lift, lockers, 35's, straight 6 motor that was rebuilt a year ago, along with a new weber carb, and new paint that he shot. Those cj5's are fun little jeeps.

It can be done,it just has to be all custom.Plus i think you have to ind a better method of cooling the engine as well b/c of the extra pull from it.BUT it can be done.

I have a some questions about the swap is it really that hard of a swap? I've read the rb25 swap faq but I hate that its so old and no one ever adds any new information. Did you do your own wiring? Any suggestions for a first timer?

Thanks Chris

Its not hard at all.I did the whole swap with a engine hoist and a small bag of tools no big deal.Of course this was my second go around but even the first time wasn't to hard at all.Just make sure you label everything you can it helps, even if its obvious stuff, youll thank me later.lol.

As far as the wiring goes i sent my harness to Wiring Specialties. They are a NICO sponsor and Yuri is great to deal with there.I got it back and it was plug and play,i even had him wire my boost controller in aswell.

Also get a good mount kit, itll make your job a lot easier in the end.I recommend Mckinney but there are plenty others out there.

Hope that helped. If you have any other questions just holler!

So i had to remove the back seats in the vert to run my power wire for the battery in the trunk. For the past 3 months i haven't been able to do anything to the car b/c of not haveing the extra cash so its been sitting. So during that time apparently Rats/mice made there home there, which then turned my car into a bathroom for them.Thank God i could put the top down to air it out.So i wasn't planning on redoing the carpet but i just went ahead b/c it was so bad and cleaned everything and ran my cable! On to the pics!

Heres some before pics:

The Trunk

Yep thats Rat poo

Gutted:

The nest in the trunk with the dead mouse!!!

Cleaned and dyed carpet

All put back together!

What do your guys think?

I got 3 questions for you.

What was your intial driving inpression of the rb25 vert ?

What kind of dye did you use for the carpet? That looks really good.

Is it absolutely necessary to relocate the battery to the trunk?

Well i havent got to drive it with it in the vert yet.lol

Its was just duplicolor gloss black.and thanks!

No its not necessary i didn't when the RB was in the hatch but i upgraded to the Greddy intake this time so the piping goes right through the battery tray so i had to.

I just sprayed a bunch of carpet cleaner on it and got on my hands and knees and scrubbed with a brush then blasted it with a water hose and spray nozzle.

Nice job with the carpet. I often wondered how that duplicolor stuff would work. I may have to look into that

so whats next on your list of things to get taken care of?

that is so funny about the rat. I left my boot cover for the top in my dads building for about a month. I took it out the building and put it in my trunk. 2 weeks later I was working on the car and 2 little mice were running around me. I could not figure out were they were coming from, I was in a big parking lot at my apartment. Well I turn the bag the cover comes in and found the same thing a nest. Same color too. There were 2 more dead mice in there. Never did find the mom though. I cant believe they lived that long in my trunk.

Carpet looks good though.
