Hey all,

If you were to swap a RB25DET into a 240sx would it still handle well? If not can you tune it so it'll be able too?

I've unlocked this on faith that there WILL BE NO FLAMING!!! If you don't like the question, do not respond.

To the OP, I'm sorry that this was locked, and hopefully you get some good answers to your question.

If I had a better answer, I would give it to you.

i think if you use a good set of coilovers you wont notice much of a differnce between RB and whatever motor you have now.

when you swap in a rb motor the weight difference is minimal. it weighs about as much as a full tank of gas. my rb swap is still siting on the stock suspension, and i can't tell any difference. you can find more helpful info in the rb section. there are some really help sticky's.

hold on people. It really depends on if u keep your fwd sway bar and maybe a strut tower brace. If so it feels a little heavy either way than your standard ka or sr. None the less still whips around easily. I have a daily 240sx with ka and full suspension upgrade and and my rb has no swaybar no tower brace and coil over suspension only in front. Doesn't turn on a dime but i normally use it for track purposes anyway. By the way it's great on the highway for straight away's and the top end is phenomenal.

sorry bean but im re-locking this as its been discussed 100,000 TIMES ON THIS BOARD.

a RB25 does not adversely affect the handling of your car. a tank of gas makes as much of a weight balance change as a RB25. i drove mine on track (grip and drift) pretty successfully without any problems.

please search.
