i was researching about the greddy intake mani, and was wondering whats the gain of replacing that to the stock mani, at first i thought it gave clearance to close the hood, but is that true? i'm just asking because im trying to save some money, and can anyone give me a few corner cutters here to knock off some money? and still run smooth?

to my knowledge, no power gaines and a massive throttle response loss when you use q45tb with stock turbo , main advantage is TB relocation, i think greddy makes a kit to use stock tb on their intake

yeah, greddy makes a step-down adapter so you can install the stock tb, I think I paid about $80 for mine.

It should give you cooler intake temps which = more hp and more direct airflow into the cylinders.

The more air you push the bigger % gain you'll get over the stock manifold, if that makes sense. . .
