rb25det slip yoke

has anybody tried installing the rb25det slip yoke to a sr/ka driveline?

maybe someone has experimented with this idea out there.

That's a good idea...

in theory

The u joints on the RB and KA don't have a slip ring or whatever that s*** called so you cannot simply swap the slip yokes. I talked to a local driveshaft shop and they said the only thing that could be done was cut the old setup on the KA/SR driveshaft, and weld a new one to accept interchangable u-joints so the RB slip yoke could be used. But that would end up costing a few hundred bucks.

the slip yokes arent even close if you are trying to compare a RB25 to a KA an SR style slip yoke. the only one in that is the same as far as i know is the one from the RB20..

RB25 = Z32RB20 = KA24/SR20

I would just have them set it up as a 300zx yoke.

Didnt' someone else find an alternative slip yoke from a GM model so that the Ujoints would be standard? hmph

i'm trying to experiment, so i ordered the 3103-30 slip yoke. came in and we'll see what happens. i'll post pics when done.
