that is probaly cause you have a RB20DET transmission on your RB25Kansei240sx wrote:I just used my KA slave cylinder on the transmission, it works fine and bolts right up.
most obvious way to tell is the slave cylinder points the OPPOSITE direction. push type, the slave faces towards the engine, so the fork ends up pushing into the PP. pull type, the slave faces towards the rear of the car, making the fork pull up on the TO bearing, which is attached to the PP.Kansei240sx wrote:I know this is a dumb question to ask for how much i know about cars but, how can you tell whether or not its a pull type ?
Noticed this on ebay and remembered this thread.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1Kansei240sx wrote:See, thats the slave cylinder that Venus auto sent me, but the transmission didnt have those holes, they were lined up to use the KA24DE slave and it mounted up and everything so i dont know what the deal is, becuase i also have quite a LARGE output shaft so i KNOW its an RB25 transmission unlike the RB20's which my friend had who said it was definately smaller.
You can see that the slave bolts are vertical instead of horizontalMaybe i got a magical transmission.
