just for piece of mind... I tested 2 different tps's on my rb25 sII and both of them read near the same resistance wise and both of them read exactly the same voltage wise when back probed ( .5v w/ closed throttle and .5v WOT). The ecu gets the same reading at pin 38 and 48 as well as continuity to two of the three wires at the tps plug. I know that it is supposed to read 4v+ at WOT. Does this mean something is wired improperly or that I have 2 bad tps's?

correct me if im wrong but the center wire have a 5v constant power. The other wire is a chassis ground. and the third is the signal to the ecu. First check that you have 5v constant power. If you dont you might have something wired wrong. Also are you sure your not testing the wrong sensor? there are two plugs on the s2 TPS..

I'm pretty certain that I'm testing the correct plug (the brown one on the bottom) especially since the other plug gets no voltage whatsoever. However I don't get 5v constant to any of them. There is .5v to all three wires. So I'm guessing something is wired wrong. As I stated before, two of the three wires (I'm guessing the constant and the signal) are getting continuity to the ecu pins 38 and 48. So what could possibly be wired wrong?
