RB25DET S14 Guys, what are you using for an aftermarket turboelbow and downpipe?

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

Hey guys im swapping my RB into my car on the 17th of July but still need to buy exhaust peices. I already have a catback and test pipe, but I dont have the stock turbo elbow or a downpipe.

Im going to be running the McKinney mounts. And Im running the stock turbo.

My question is what turbo elbow are you running so that its clears the steering shaft, and what downpipe are you using.

Id like to see if I can use an SR20 downpipe as its a lot cheaper then buying the RB to S14 downpipe from McKinney or another vendor.

Thanks for the help!

Look into Syko Performance turbo elbow, they make a whole mount kit and elbow that bolts to a SR20 donwpipe. I only bough the turbo elbow from them and have R32 Xmember w/ mounts in S13

Dont know if it fits both S13 and S14 and if it works with mount kit you have. And their turbo elbow works on both RB20 and RB25 with stock turbo.

+1I run a Syko elbow and a cheap SR20 downpipe. Works great and clears no problem. Even works after switching to RB30.

The alternate is to use that ebay one and just cut and rotate the flange of the SR downpipe.

I caught a break and found the Syko elbow for $100 shipped, used. Mated to SR downpipe like stock and to the rest of my exhaust.

just use the angle grinder on the stock elbow grind it up on the side where its touching the steering shaft thats what i did when i had my stock turbo on my rb25. I used the stock elbow and the stock downpipe that it came with if you wanna save some money just do it like this. Now i upgraded my turbo so iam getting a custom downpipe made for me

syko ones fit nice but they are expensive, i just recently changed to a am performance screamer pipe and its the s***!! it has more clearence than the syko dump tube and just over all fits better. you will get what you pay for, dont purchase any of the ebay dump tubes. i got one and cut and rotated the flange and made it fit but it still was not 100%
