well let me start by saying i am wired to the 8 step and its running but poorly I belive uber rich like as i go down the road it coughs and spits but if i get the rpms just right it runs ok...

I am running the walbro 255 with the stock fpr... can it cause it to run soo rich it would be hard to drive?

what wire do I need to hit so I can look up codes on the ecu... I feel like such a retard I dont even know how to wire the check code...

thanks for the help guys...

On your ECU there is a screw(kinda) on one side of ecu with a little window next to it. turn the screw all the way one direction, then all the way the other direction and it should start the LED inside the window blinking...if ther eis no LED then you gotta hook up the check engine light and it will flash....55 (5 slow flashes, then 5 quick flashes)is all clear, anything else, post it and we can look it up for you.

I would say that you start by checking for a boost leak, sounds like what you have going on...or maybe the timing either of which the ECU wont show you.

i dont know if the walbro will cause it to be THAT rich as to where its hard to drive but it does make it very rich. And your stock FPR could be going out or dead so get an adjustable FPR and set your fuel pressure right and then go from there.

i see the area you are talking about on the ecu however there is no screw... and there is no light.... ive shined 10 kinds of light up in there all i can see see is a chip about 1.5 inches back.... I wonder if this is due to me having a series 2 motor.... I can take pictures if you like

Page 318 of the RB25 manual shows you how to check the codes. You will need to have your cel hooked up.

According to the manual, you need to short, for 2 seconds only, the "CHK" & "IGN" wires on the consult terminal. From the ECU the "CHK" wire is pin 47 on the ECU it should be Yellow/Purple. The "IGN" is just switched power so if you connect a +12V power source to pin 47 for 2 seconds, the check engine light should start flashing codes...

Thanks to eh? for reminding us to always check the manual!
