well car has been ood to me thus far..now im having an issue..took her out for a drive this afternoon and was runnign just fine then when i was coming up to a traffic light she stalled...didnt hink much of it at the time until she did it again then again till finally she started to pop and sputter on take off then wouldnt wanna get out of its own way till finally she didnt wanna run right at all. i have a power FC and checked my sensors and all are good with the exception of one which i already know wouldnt cause this issue cause its been on since day one. whil i am checking the monitor out on map tracer i can see the square bouncing from idle position all the over to grid 20..when i rev it she sputters like crazy and backfiring whcih would indicate she is out of time..but heres the thing..its registering like 58,000 rpm when i give it throttle...sometimes more..sometimes less..i hope this is a minor glitch and some of my people on here can lend a hand with this...if this is something to do witht he power FC i will absoluetely lose it...

please lend a kind hand

You have the same type of CAS as I do. I have a very, very late SII RB25 and the CAS has a black plastic cap and the engagement is via an offset slotted shaft. It looks similar to an SR20 CAS on the exterior but the spline is different. The other RB25 CAS have a star-like engagement face.

I'm sorry to say that they are very difficult to find as opposed to the other type of CAS. I have a spare but it took me $300 and 3 months to get it. Good luck!

My does the same thing, it is a type II not a neo though. It actually showed a 145k rev. I thought it was because of my bigger TB and intake manifold, and lack of tune. Now Im second guessing that. Mine seems to do fine at partial throttle almost all the way up. But as soon as i push down 35 or 45 percent to full, it bucks and sputters. Did a boost leak detection and came up fine.

just think logically

how would a mechanical change (intake manifold) show an electrical problem (rpm that high)

I have been thinking logically. I only extened two wires, and one ground. So I thought faulty ground, then I hooked the grounds straight to the negative terminal on the battery. I have the stock skyline little battery, so maybe the low voltage is making things go hay wire. I dont even have a good shop to take it to in Floriduh. I just have a basket case of a car thus, me wanting to switch out the body harness. Some one actually removed the fuseable link, and i repaired it. Worked fine for six months, so does that mean to rule the CAS?

My car has a leaky trunk and it did get some water in there, but that is away from the cluster, but the tail lights are there and im sure water could have gotten in through the rears. Thus the brake and lighting issues. Thanks I will check them out and see if they are holding water.
