...well no more need for standalone b.s. unless you want the extra features...now you have less expensive R33 RB25DET ECU tuning that comes ready to plug in and tune..so easy. Plus you will have something thats custom and unique.

Wouldn`t you install the mods. Hook up a lap top to the ECU. Tune it with the labtop. then burn the settings on the chip and place the chip in the ECU?

this is how i tune cars unless im burning a chip for some one across the country where im not there, then i start with a basemap closest to their setup and set it up rich...then wideband tuning and feedback from the end user i get it just about spot on.

I think its just the use of the stock ecu with factory maps and trims that I prefer so much. Carl has the best approach, providing close basemaps and then getting feedback from the user if they are not updating themselves. This works great.

sounds scray doing it that way. I quess its all right as long as there running rich. How about fine tnning or maybe you want to run a little leaner? You would be spending alot of money trying to get the full potenol out of your set up. I duno. Its seems sketchy doing that way, but I suppose thats the way its dune if you do not have somebody to tune your car in person.

Hanna really knows his stuff. I have been talking with him for a few weeks now and we're going to throw one of his rom tunes in my 25 to work out any last little bugs and then get into fine tuning the a/f ratios and timing.

Also, iirc Import Intelligence is running Hanna's rom tuned sr20 ecu on their rhd converted coupe, and one of the guys at the D1 driver's search this weekend may also be running a rom tuned sr20 ecu
