Yeah I know what your all thinking another one of these threads?!

Just to get down to it. I'm always really picky about what I buy, and now its down to the E-fan & Radiator. All of us running the RB's have problems when it comes to finding a setup that fits AND works. A lot of other people have this same opinion. So, I want everyone to post their RB cooling setups and water temps. Details & pics are a plus! Also, I made an easy search title so that these threads slow down.

Custom Be Cool Aluminum Radiator. KA/RBSPAL 13" Pusher fan (have another if you need)11"x 2.5" PS cooler mounted on rad next to fan24x12x3 FMICNo Ducting as yet

Haven't ran my car enough to give you temps. But at idle it gets to temp 180 fan kicks on for a min or 2 and turns off.

But.... I don't have A/C or a Condensor.

- RB25- CXRacing Aluminum Radiator- No AC condensor- 2x 12" e-fans (1 puller, 1 pusher)- DiF fan controller- Prosport water temp gauge (upper radiator hose adapter probe)

Prior to the DiF fan controller, I used to see temps of around 183-186F with the push-in probe.

Now I hardly ever go over 180F. I'm in the middle of installing a FMIC, so I'll update you once it's done with my temps again.

- RB25- 3-inch thick Griffin drift spec radiator core - OEM Z32 thermostat (83-84*C)- 2x 12" SPAL pusher fans mounted to the condenser (<----THE KEY )- Soon to have AC (waiting on custom fittings now)- DiF dual fan controller also wired to turn on with AC to keep air flowing past the condenser when stopped or in traffic.- Huge, thick FMIC with stock engine bay undertray. No additional ducting.

Since the SPAL fans were installed, the engine has never gotten above 86*C.

I had some cheap Perma-cool fans installed before the SPALs and they couldn't keep the temps down when the weather was hotter than 85*F outside. Sucked!

I'll be running a CXracing radiator, which I got from a junkyard, and Maxima fans on a switch. They are on a hi/low on one fan and a off/hi on the other.

For an IC I have a 3inX6inX27in

Eventually I'll install my FC oil cooler as well.

Ive got an RB20DET, buts its in swap mode for now. I'll repost later with my results.

Just to add:I'm ordering x2 CSR Performance 12" electric fans and a FAL adjustable fan controller w/rad. probe. I'm also fabing up a metal plate to replace upper support so I can move my radiator further forward. I don't like cutting supports.<edit: slash that, CSR's are on back order... So now I'm getting single Perma-cool 16" pull fan.>I already have a Mishimoto dual core radiator with calsonic (nissan oem) 13" fan controlled by a 180* on/170* off thermostat switch. (temporary until new fans get here) I also have a huge B&M 11x10 side mount oil cooler, no ducting yet.<new front bumper in the works. It stays around 180*-185* in high 80's low 90's weather at idle and cruising, but heats up when you get on it.

I wouldn't put a Perma-cool fan on anything except a trash heap. Everything I've ever purchased with that brand name on it is Chinese-grade. Only thing that worked was a PS cooler, but it's pretty tough to screw that up.

I'm running a Koyo aluminum "racing" radiatorFAL 210 12" puller fansPignose A/C fan set up as a pusherWorking A/CNismo low temp thermostat (will probably swap it out when I buy a Greddy IM)Huge 3" thick FMIC1 bottle of water wetter70:30 mix of water and antifreezeI also have extensive ducting above and below the rad to force air through it, rather than around it. <----This is KEY!

Temps stay in the 75-80C range with normal driving. Once I crank up the A/C, however, it gets HOT...like 90C+ in stop and go traffic on a 90F day.

I will most likely re-design my rad setup and further modify my core support so I can get the stock clutch fan back on there with a proper shroud. The 3 fans I have suck CRAZY amps! BTW, I have McKinney mounts and I've already chopped up the upper rad support to get the Koyo in there with the pullers.

cruising i see a constant 82*c, in traffic on a hot day perhaps 88*cpower pulls and hard decel result in drastic drop in temps lowest ive seen it go is 76*c after a long downhill decel from the top of a mountain.

old car but same setup in the current one...works wonders and was cheap!total cost was approx 215$ for radiator and piping.

if you look at most of these people running decent setups they are at 180 most of the time. 10F isnt to much.

I was talking about that 220F. I'm assuming that was only once or twice though?

iv hit that a couple of times during San Diegos short lived heat waves of 95F +. but that will all be fixed in the next few weeks with a bigger rad and E fans.

and why would you say bad motor. you relize the KA rad is less then 1in thick right. Ok i relize that i was being lazy not changing over to a proper radiator but why would hot temps be related to a bad motor when the insufficent radiator is staring right at you.

RB26DETTGriffin Dual-Pass RadTwo 12" SPAL push fans

Cruising around I am at about 65-70 degrees celsius. How well it does at the track depends on the ambient temp. In AZ with 80-90 degrees Fahrenheit ambient I would run at about 96-100 degrees celsius. Here in WA I never go above 90 degrees celsius even at the end of a session.

im running a 400hp rb26 with the stock radiator and stock clutch fan w/ the shroud... it flows just fine and keeps it at the correct opperating temp while not wasting 500+ dollars on a new setup and theres nothing more reliable.. thx..

I'm one the last phase of piecing my RB20DET swap together. I was thinking of running dual 10 in fans and a koyo radiator. Anybody running A/C have problems with heat control. I've heard the condenser generates significant heat and can cause issues. My daily needs to have A/C, so I'm trying to run into a solution before engine gremlins start popping up with my half assed swap.

Don't know, was wondering that myself, but I have pieced my ac together and all I have to do is install it and charge it.Keep the setups coming everyone.
