Swapping an Rb25DET 5spd into a '93 S13.

I've read that the z32 speed sensor will work if I want to get my KA DOHC Cluster to read the MPH correctly, but the threads I've looked at have never stated whether it's from a TT or a NA? And I'm also just going to assume that it has to be for the Manual transmission? Not that it matters, but what year should I also look for?

Anyone using one of them, did you get it the one for the NA or the TT? I would assume it is NA since that is the same clutch type (?) but I don't have a lot of time to wait for parts to come in after I order the wrong one, so I'd like to just order the right one the first time.

Also, I am in need of an IACV, and have read that early model (91-92 or so) Sentra 1.6 IACVs will work. Can anyone else confirm this? Autoparts stores around here all have to order it and I don't have tons of time to wait on ordering parts more than once.

And i have also seen that BCPR6es-11 NGK spark plugs (Copper - Nickel Alloy?) would be good to use for the RB25DET, but what should they be gapped to? Their specs chart says about .043-.044", which comes to about 1.1 MM but I have read that .8mm is ideal. Can anyone else verify they've had no problems with this?

I also couldn't find any replacement for the PCV Valve.

Anyways, those are my 3 biggest issues for parts that i need to replace before the motor can go in.

Thanks.

35 views and no one knows?

Come on, i KNOW someone here is using a 300zx SPEED SENSOR, so which is it? NA OR TT? I'm getting two different part #s and the speed sensor isn't something I can "trial and error" here...

Once the motor is in, it's in, there's not a lot of room to work around and changing anything on the transmission would result in pulling the motor.

NEED THESE PARTS BY WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY.

You can do a speed sensor with the trans in the car.

No idea which one works.

Gap your plugs tight, search. Its covered 100x over. I can't remember of the top of my head.

Dunno bout the IACV. Some ka ones work I have heard..

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah the spark plugs aren't a problem, it's .8mm according to every other post I've read and the FSM.

The IACV i've got looks exactly like the one I took off the RB (RB one was missing plugs).

The Speed sensor, I don't know where it was located (passenger part of the transmission I would assume.), but the guy doing / helping with the swap is telling me he will need the speed sensor before he puts the motor in. I don't know exactly where it's located on the transmission but he's saying room is limited and it would be easiest to put it on before the motor goes in. Everything I've searched doesn't specify NA or TT, though the guy doing the swap (who has built multiple 300zxs), is telling me there is a difference between the two. I am going to assume it's the NA speed sensor but would like to be sure since it's a 2 day wait on the part since it has to be ordered.

The sensor is likely the same, and the difference is prob. the rearend they use. The trannies are the same model number.

Okay, so for a S13 with a final drive of 4.083, I would most likely want to get the NA 300zx (VG30DE) sensor with the same final drive...? Or is that not going to factor into my Tach / Speedometer signal at all?

I have a NIB Dakota Digital Speed Signal Interface adapter I can ship tomorrow if you want to go that route. I ordered it and decided not to go a different direction. I can let it go for $85 shipped. If you are interested. You can use any trans / gearing / tire-size , just use GPS to adjust / fine tune the speed.

So, the plastic gear is different?
