rb25det questions

just wondering if any1 has converted a auto rb25det to 5-speed? what is all needed? like i know obviously the flywheel, clutch, pressure plat, but do i need to change the ecu or anything? and iv heard that u can use a ka transmission if u do some modification is that true?

i did this swap from auto to manual on my rb25det s2 youll have to remove the automatic pilot bushing just like on the ka when you do auto to manual swap and get a ka24de pilot bushing and get it in there as for the ecu you can use that no problem with the stock turbo. The transmission will not work you can get a rb26 bellhousing and find a 90-96 300zx n/a transmission and swap it up and your good to go but your shifter will be about 3-4 inches back so youll have to cut a new hole right next to your e brake but your better off finding a rb25 trannygood luck with the build

thanks. but are u sure about not being able 2 use a ka transmission? ima see if i can find that again and ill post up a link 2 it. i forgot if it had any pics or not

no the ka transmission will not work for a rb25 itll work with a sr20 but not the rb iam sure on that
