Hi all iv just put a 25det In my r32 but it won't idle properly and revs up and down but now it sounds like it's running only 3 cylinders it seems to be leaking water from behind the cam belt cover ( haven't had time to take off cam belt cover yet) any help would be great thanks

Maybe @WDRacing will chime in as he knows a lot about engines.

the water pump is behind the timing belt cover, you probably have a leaking gasket.

A MAF car with idle issues should be tested for vacuum/boost leaks. Also, it helps to clean the carbon out of the idle valve on the I/M.

For the misfiring, I would check the spark plugs and ignition system. It's possible you have a bad ignition coil. hope this helps.
