i have a rb25det in a s13. when i bought the car it didn't run. huge problem w/ the wiring harness. so sent it in and got it to run. but when i start it up its got a bad idel. it jumps from like 1400-2200rpms. and the car dies when the MAF is pluged in. and just installed a new tps sensor today. any clue what could be wrong?

Did you check the TPS voltage to make sure it is correct? Also did you check the ignition timing to make sure it correct?

i dont think the z32 is a direct replacement. you probablly have to find a rb25 one. like i said before, but no one has confirmed it, but i think if you replace the maf with a different than stock one you need to have the ecu tuned/chipped to match the maf

yeah thats definitely your problem. my buddy did the same thing. Put a z32 maf on his Rb25 and it would die. He didnt realize you needed to compensate for the change in maf voltages
