ok so i have just ben through hell and back with my rb25det swapped s14. and my problems never seam to end. i go and replaced maf sensor, both knock sensors, the harness for knock sensors and then the coolant temp sensors becouse the car was having extremely high egt's drivign around and then was overheating. well solved the high egt problem but know my car still ovewrheats . car runs perfectly fine until my water temp reaches over 180f then it slowly climbs to 220f and never goes any higher. i have 2 fans 1 primary 12in fan and then a secondary 12in fan. i went and set both to come on as soon as car reaches 120f so i could hopefully keep the temp down but it didnt solve to much of my problem :(.
things ive noticed/done:
primary fan wont cut on sometimes and if it does it comes on half powered.
secondary fan is on full blast!
turn fan thermo all the way down so they both stay on at all times
new coolant temp sensor
new gauge sensor along with water temp gauge
a/f is 15.8 at idle
egt is 600-750 at idle
brand new stant 170f thermo for 300zxtt
50/50 coolant/water mix
bled coolant system
after engine shutoff i hear a girgling noise coming from heater core lines. (sounds like water being pushed back into engine )
ZERO COOLANT LEAKS
NO OIL IN COOLANT / COOLANT IN OIL
PERFECT COMPRESSION!!!
i honestly feel like its a air buble in cooling system but im not sure at all!!! please help!

Sounds like you need to bleed the system better. I use a mix of Water Wetter, Anti-Freeze and water. Here's my setup:

3" Radiator
Dual Flex-A-Lite pullers
160 degree thermostat
1 Single constant 10" pusher fan
Vented hood
80% water 20% antifreeze with 1 bottle of water wetter

I drive the car in Atlanta traffic everyday during rush hour...the car doesn't bat an eye...runs perfectly. Granted it took a long time to get my car to handle traffic situations I finally managed to get it to not have mood swings.

i was considering ditching the dual puller fans and putting a rb25det clutch fan in my car cuz my radiator support is cut. and maybe moving my 2 fans to pushers in front of my ac condensor btu thats what im tryign to do to my car iw az told water weter works wonders but i guess im going to have to go buy some know and see .
also i have already vented the hood today to perhaps solve the problem it dropped my temps maybe 10f but ima try the clutch fan and see if it works with 2 pusher fans in front of ac condensor

considering buying my friends rb25det clutch fan for $40 and bolting it up and moving my 12in fans to in front of ac condensor to solve cooling problems .... would that work?

You need to verify your system is bled. It takes a while, and is a PITA to do, unless you are using a swirl-pot.

Do you have a coolant overflow tank? Is it working? (straight from radiator, no loops?)

I had the same problem with my rb it ended up being my radiator. It was clogged I took it to a local radiator shop they cleaned it I never had the problem anymore

you say your primary fan cuts out and when it does work it only comes on half powered.... dont you think that could be an issue?

If you have the room for a clutch fan, do it.. clutch fan is better than any electric youll be able to fit in there

Also, on a side note. If you think that you need 4 electric fans to solve your cooling problem, you need to rethink your entire cooling issue. Do you realize the draw of 4 fans? Are you fusing and relaying them? I say bleed all air out and put the clutch fan and be done with it. Trust us, we all have been there and many of us have gone the clutch fan route.

im in the middle of my clutch fan install, installing R32 shroud as well, its a pain in the a**, triming the fan blades to fit... just at idle it really moves the air though

I have electric fans on my 240 dual 10 inch fans I have no cooling issues at all. But the hottest that it might get over here is about 90 sumthn degrees that mite play a factor if your out west ! Try removing the thermostat n c how it does
