I JUST GOT DONE REPLACEING MY NEW HEAD GASKET ONTO MY MOTOR. FOR SOME REASON I AM NOT GETTING ANY OIL TO THE HEAD. I START THE CAR AND DISCONNECT THE OIL RETURN LINE FROM THE HEAD AND NO OIL IS COMING OUT OF IT. I WONDER WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM.
I NO FORSURE IT ISNT THE OIL PUMP BECAUSE I AM GETTING OIL TO MY OIL FILTER.

There is likely no problem that return line wont have a solid flow of oil until you get lots of oil into the cylinder head... at a light idle the other drains are likely doing the majority of the work

did you put the gasket on backwards?
it really can only go on one way properly but i have seen these things done before.
if you're not getting oil to the head it will be quite apparently as the hydro lifters will collapse and it will have all kinds of fun noises coming from the head.

I'm sure the head gasket is on right. The 10mm bolt on each corner of the head all line up and screw in perfect. My lifter sounds so loud. Anymore suggestion?
