Saw it here when searching on google.http://www.get-u.com/EVENT/STAGEA/usp_driving.html

The thing the most interests me is that it has what appears to be a sequential shift on the automatic transmission. Would be great for my girlfriends car :)

It appears to have the same amount of power from what I can tell.

its just a Nissan STAGEA... Think of it as a Skyline Wagon.

that engine is the same as whats in the r33 gts-r? what about that transmission? would that make a good auto transmission for a rb swap candidate?

well it is an RB25DET same as the R33. As for the specific specs.. I dunno...as with swapping the auto, why? I dont know what to expect from that transmission, but I imagine there would be issues with the driveline, transmission mounts, and electronic controls if there are any.

it's the same as the R34, r33 no makey 280ps. and as far as the transmission goes, keep dreaming. autos are not very swapable cause they need their own computers

wouldnt you swap the AT computer with the rest of the harness/ECU? my concerns would be #1, it doesnt fit because its a different size or has different mounts than say a stick or regular 3 speed with overdrive AT, and #2 that it would suck cause it came from a station wagon. Having a AT with sequential shifting would be cool because then I could auto-x it, drag it, whatever, and my girlfriend could drive it to work. (she cant drive stick, yet) Im not going to let her drive my Z on a regular basis, I value the lower lip of the front fascia too much :)

I know HKS makes a ALC for the Z32 AT that makes it change gears much quicker than the AT would normally. Perhaps one of those rewired to run on the rb series AT wouldhelp. If I was going to be the only driver, yeah Id put in a manual. At least my launches will be more consistant :)

are you all forgetting that the Stagea is 4WD??? (to compete with suby WRX wagons)

Edit: Also all GT-Rs had the RB26DETT making 280 hp (as in R32's i think and R33's and R34's definatly)

Edit again: Ok i just read some more of this post and i think i heard someone bashing the Stagea... The Stagea is my favorite car on the planet and everone who thinks it sucks should die ;) . I would take one over a Skyline anyday

From poking around a bit I see you can get a FR 2.5 and a 4WD 2.5 cant tell whether FR has DET. Of course the 4WD version isnt an option, but if the FR is DET and has the sequntial shift that would rock.

The other option would be to get one of thesehttp://www.ess-racing.com/and re-wire it for a RB AT.

I prefer to get sequntial shift from the factory though. If its not a sucky transmission.

http://www.venus-auto.com/coming/30/30-rb25.htm

i know its venus auto, and stuff from them has been questionable, but looks like the same engine in a different car. Saw another pic looks like the GTST R34 had the NEO 6 as well and possibly a 5 speed AT??? Im going to have to look into this. 5speed auto may be too big to fit on 98 240.

If I find something new, Ill post it here :)

something like this

http://www.autolancia.com/spor...e.htmr34 GTS-T RB25 with 4speed + overdrive sequntial shiftauto transmission. Me want, but will it fit?

the neo is the last generation RB, I think it's supposed to run cleaner or some gay stuff like that. You find them in the R34 and StageA. The StageA is damned sexy though. RB25 in both RWD and 4WD also the limited RB26DETT 4WD, b-b-big balls for the soccer-dads:)

AAAhhhhh, i thought all the RB26 StageA's were swaps. Are 4WD stageas common over yonder in jap-land mad?

The Stagea just seems like my perfect car.

I'd guess about 1/4 of them are 4WD, a scant few with R-power. They are schweet.

Which RB25 came with vvl? My friend was taking apart his motor when we noticed a solenoid by his cams. He doesn't have the factory ecu and wiring harness (he's going Haltech), but wants to get alittle bit more info on it.
