rb25det maf

hi guys i have a cold running problem with a s1 rb25det . when first stared it does not rev up but turbo sounds like its working hard. It makes 6 pounds of boost does not spike or anything. when hot runs good timing is dead on has a wire special harness. so im sure wiring is fine but. any ideas would be cool . i also have a maf thats is suposta be off a s2 rb25det but is has 5 pins. i wanted to wire it on to a s1 rb25det but need to know what pins to use any help would be cool sorry if this doesnt make sins. i am a ca18det guy just trying to help out a friend
