series 2 motors don't have ignitor chips. Do you know whether your engine is an automatic?

its a 5 speed the reason i say it may be series 2 is coz of the two plugs for the tps and i cant find any plugs thatare to be hooked up to an ignitor.

check out this pic. see how the plug is directly plugged into the other one. This is a type II. It has a seperate ignitor plug on the top of each plug. The Type I will have a little ignitor box plugged in on top and mounted to those two holes that you see.I went through the same thing trying to figure out which motor I had. Hope this saves you the same trouble I had.

If you want to save yourself some trouble. I sent both harness' to Mckinney motorsports. $350 and I had a finished harness in less than two weeks. I still have some issues to work out with the speed and tack, but the car runs great and I didn't have to try to figure out the harness. If you are going to do it yourself. Look around this forum. Quite a few people did it there selves and can probably help you out.
