During a conversation i had with someone (yellow4g63), we noticed how with stock cams the rb starts to lose power around 6400 ish rpm. This i noticed on almost every dyno chart. So i researched the rb25det head and noticed somethings. First of which is the nvcs (v tec for the honda literate), some want it some dont, i honestly perfer it cuz i can run larger cams like 260 ( i think 240 stock) and in the low it will adjust for a idle, ne way, i found out we cannot use 2 adjustable cam gears only exhaust if u keep the nvcs, disabling is it possible but not ez, only like one company makes cams for out car, and they cost almost 1000 dollers (tomei) they sell 2 sets the poncams (which i desperately want if any has or can get), and the procams, which require like everything (valves, springs, retainers all that jazz from tomei) the poncams r 256 l with 8.5mm lift, yeah hks makes some also but they r more expensive, and harder to find so i wont even factor them in. Anyway does anyone have any cams in their car, or even touched their motors head ? i have done all i want to my block and i wanna research the head so when i am rdy i know wut i want for my application. Also if u can get some cams post em up.

what dyno graphs are you talking about? because most aftermarket turbos cure any type of power drop off problem above 6000. the stock turbo is very tiny. too tiny to keep up with the RB.

Try skylinesaustralia.com . Like Kamin said a larger turbo is going to cure any drop off until you get into the big numbers. Turbo HP/$ > Cam HP/$.
