rb25det Freddy intake manifold - what do you do with the coolant neck, weld it??

I got the manifold and the coolant neck does not "press fit" into the manifold. do i need to weld this ****?

i had to beat mine in with a rubber mallet

Well mine just falls in, like it doesnt even have the ability to have a press fit.. is that normal?

no it should not just slide in with ease. You should have to literally force it in.

You may be able to have it welded, but that crappy casting might blow apart.

i heated the neck up, and expanded it with a concentric round metal tube that gets larger from one end to the other, then forced it in.... i hope it doesnt leak

i had to get mine welded on. actually they used a lil bit bigger coolant nipple and cut it down to size.
