Hello all.
Im pretty new at this because I have recently bought an rb25det swapped 240sx with some known problems that I am working on fixing.
I got in my car and went to depress the clutch all the way in to start it and realized that the clutch pedal had absolutely no resistance to it whatsoever. It didnt even have any push to lift the pedal back up to the starting position. The car was ok to drive for today, but just now when I went to drive the car again It feels like i need to push the pedal through the floor to get the clutch to engage. If I lift my foot even slightly off the ground the clutch engages but this is so difficult to accomplish that the car is basically undriveable. The clutch still engages fine for now btw.
So veterans of the RB swapped 240sx realm...please offer your wisdom to assist me with this rather unfortunate issue.
Cheers

Hello! I have a nissan truck that i have just fixed with the same problem! It sound like there is air in the clutch master cylinder and or the lines that go to the clutch operating cylinder is'nt holding pressure. Try getting some clutch fluid(check specs,S/B dot 3? or 5?)first. fill and bleed line's and see if that helps. If that does'nt help try following the lines to the clutch housing and find the operating cylinder down by the transmission. if there is a leak in the slave(operating) cylinder or lines, this is your problem(the system is'nt maintaining pressure) it would be worth getting a new master and slave cylinder and bleed the clutch again, Also you might need to adjust the pedal stroke! Good luck! it worked for me, you can also buy a Haynes manual for you car, it has helped me signifacantly on repairing and rebuilding my truck myself. -Adam
