Ok so I had a leaky cylinder and took my head to a machine shop. The guy put a tool to my cylinder in ? and said I have slightly tweaked valves. He said I was gonna need a valve job.... When I told him I could get oem valves from EPP, He asked; How much power are you making ? I told him 500ish. He said I need SS valves to support that power and refused to put oem valves back in. So I found a more reputable ... more expensive machine shop and he said that my head only needed a grind and re-seat it was gonna cost me 350 bucks. So I said hell yeah do it... got the new stem seals and cam seals put it on my block and was timing it and when It was on its c-stroke #6 was bubbling past the intake valve.. There was a lil solvent left from cleaning... So I called him and asked he said it was cuz my lifters were bled down and once oil pressure comes up they will seal fine? So my ? is ?... Is there any truth to that? Cuz I know that springs are what keep retension on the valve. So where do lifters come into play?

I would take that cam out and check it to see if it still sticks. Or turn the motor and see if its sill contacting and pushing on the lifter on the round side of the cam lobe.

Take the intake manifold off and do a leak down on it...
