I walked out to my car today to measurements for fan shroud and I decided to start it up and let it run and make sure nothing changed. It starts right up but now I have this hollow popping noise from the manifold and smell exhaust in the engine bay. The engine is VERY hesitant to rev up but stays alive. This all points to a manifold crack. My WG is a brand new synapse one so that's not the problem. I just installed it, made a brand new SS dump pipe and went for 1 cruise and the manifold cracked?! I didn't find the crack yet though. Its under the middle runners I think.Edit: OK, went out to look and see if I could spot it since it got a little darker out so i could use a flashlight and look at the direction of the exhaust and low and behold it was the synapse flange I welded on... Now turbo and everything has to come off, again....

That sucks, but at least you don't need a new manifold. Although, I'd sell you mine for cheap just to get it out of my basement.

Is it a top side or bottom mount? Does it have an external WG? I'm thinking about welding one up out of mild steel butt weld steam pipe. Seems pretty hard to crack them.

Meh, figured I'd get one that's easy to remember and matches me. Angry rubber ducky ftw!
