When driving my R33 it dies sometimes, randomly. And sometimes has a hard time starting back up.
I can tell when it is going to die because the TAC doesn't rev when I push the gas. So when I release the gas it stalls completely.
I thought it was the AFM because it needs to be relpaced. If I tap the AFM it will shut off my car. I still think this is it, but not completely sure.
Also once I left the car on idle and went to trunk, after being back there for a minute I noticed the smell of gas from the exhaust. Like it was running rich. Then it died.
This morning it stalled on the road. After a few tries of starting I finally got it started, but if I pushed the gas it would die. Once I got it started again I let it idle for a minute and started off fine, but I smelt again the rich exhaust.
So I was thinking maybe my AFM is sending bad signals to my ECU and it's shooting in to much gas.
I'm going to check the plugs today and check the connection on the AFM as well as the BOV.
Any thoughts? anyone have a similar problem?
