what would be needed to reroute the cold pipe from over the valve covers, i dont want to cut holes in my bumper to run a front mount,or hacking up the crash bar, looking for the cleanest look possible Image

A stock intake manifold is the best for power if your motor is not built.

Well, if you want to change the cold-pipe, yet do not wish to modify the bumper supports or install a front-mount charge cooler.. You are left with a few options. Unicorn tail hairs, Phoenix tears, or Dragon heartstrings. Oh, or a cold-pipe made of Unobtainium. Your question makes about as much sense as "I want to bathe, but without taking my clothes off."

If your heart is set on removing the factory cold-pipe, and utilizing the factory SMIC, then you should invest in a lot of tubing, U-bends,silicone couplings, T-bolts, and a chop-saw. You are going to be spending a lot of time re-inventing the wheel with no gain.

The factory IM (1-6)is more efficient , a 2JZ style (1-2-3x3) provides even better distribution, but the least efficient is the GReddy / Freddy front facing plenum, which provides the cleanest look.

There are fmic that are side fed. Personally, I don't think a stock manifold with u bends all over the place looks "clean".
