Are RB25DET coil packs the same as RB25DE coil Packs? Could the packs from the NA engine work on the Turbo engine?

I don't think they are the *SAME* but I'm using a mixture of RB25det, RB25de, RB20det, RB20de, and one RB26 coil in mine. I just have a few sets of coil packs sitting around I cannabalize when I need them. Stock coilpacks are good for 600+ wheel hp as long as they are good shape. Check out the thread somebody made recently about flaxane'ing them up. There are a couple of techniques for refurbishing them mentioned in that thread.

All of the above info is for series 1 coils with out the built in ignitor btw.

That multimeter test doesn't work very well. It will tell you if the coil is completely dead, but not if it's only half way dead. I'm not saying don't do it, but while they are out flexane them and clean out the spring bucket, along with the testing. Diet coke says it fixes the problem.

Check the coil packs for arcing and cracking around the casing. Before you epoxy them you can wrap them with electrical tape and see if the problem goes away.
