I am not sure if this has ben cleared up or not but here Is what I found.I ordered a 300ZX (90-96) NA Clutch.I have heard that the throw out bearing is from a 90-96 300zx TT.So I called some parts suppliers to see if I could get a TT throwout bearing. After checking a few different manufactures they all list the same throwout bearing for the 300ZX (90-96). So I checked with the dealer and they told me the throwout bearing for the NA and TT are the same. Same part number as well.I don't know where or how this rumor started but I am hear to say that they are same. Now that doesn't mean the throw out bearing will work on an RB25DET transmission for I haven't changed the clutch yet. I have a feeling some of these clutch issues are coming up from people who are running an RB20 transmission on there RB25's. So lets clear this up. Anyone who has changed clutch on an RB25 engine and transmission. What clutch did you use?

Ok, here goes....hope this helps

I checked the R33 Series one T/O bearing number....30502-21000and Series 2 T/O bearing is 30502-45P00

Series one crosses to S13(88-91) SR20DE and SR20DET among other things.

Series two crosses to S14(95/96) SR20DE & DET and Z32(92-98) Manual Transmissions.

Interesting. I wouldn't think the Series I and Series II would be different, since the transmission was the same. I know the Neo's used a different dual clutch setup, so I would think that would be the only one that was different.

When I orderd my clutch I asked them to send a TT throwout bearing instead of the n/a. It was in a Koyo box.

The One.... most of us who have the rb20 transmission got a front clip that had the rb25 turbo motor swapped in place of the rb25 non-turbo motor, which has the same or similar transmission as the rb20.

Thats one reason. I got jipped like this and dont have $1500 to buy a rb25 transmission with, not to mention the rb20 transmission can use the ka driveshaft and transmission mount when using the r33 crossmember.

NOTE: rb20 transmission has reputation to be weaker than rb25 diesel-based transmission

What kinda problems are you having Kamin? What have you tried to do to fix it? Makes me wonder if I should even bother putting the clutch I have in.

Well when the car is cold nothing is wrong, perfect shifts, perfect clutch everything is fine. as everything starts to warm up on upshifts i hear a weird vibrating wirring noise that sounds like a real deep gear grind but its not because i will already be in the gear with the foot off the clutch, then it goes away, if i shift, hold the clutch as i go into the next gear it makes the noise. people have been exclamining its the syncros and its NOT because the transmission shifts PERFECT. i know what a gear grind feels like, this isnt it.

after a little longer of driving when i try to roll away from a stop the clutch essientally stops slipping so it feels like im just dropping the clutch every time i go from a stop.

nobody has any idea what it is. ill know this weekend cause im pulling the transmission.

Step 7 & 8, but that only addresses getting the motor running, nothing else
