I'm about to reinstall my clutch fork on top of my pivot ball. Here is a picture of when I took it out but I forgot if the pivot ball and it's neck goes in BETWEEN the retainer clip or does the retainer clip rest on TOP of the pivot ball.

Thanks for your help.

The head of the pivot ball pops through the clips and the neck of the pivot ball sits between them.

Ok so I installed the clutch fork with the t/o bearing and sleeve all as one unit onto the input shaft. I made the sure retaining clip had the pivot ball head installed in between the clip. Now my question is, should the clutch fork be tough to push on (away from the engine)? It is easy to pull the fork (towards flywheel) but when i push it away from the engine, it almost does not move. Transmission is installed onto the engine already.

Can anyone confirm that this is how the clutch fork is supposed to be when the transmission is stabbed into the engine?

Sounds normal to me. The clutch will take a lot of force, in the 200+lb range most likely, to compress with out being in the car. The hydraulics add some mechanical advantage and your leg is pretty strong as well, so its going to be very difficult to push in the clutch fork like normal. Just make sure you didn't un seat the clutch fork and your all set.
