So my motor is supposed to comeback from the machine shop this week and I was thinking about getting some cams. Im thinking pon cams, but finding a good price on these is difficult. Also ordering from nengun takes a month of sundays. Whats the best place in the US to get the pon cams for a reasonable price? Thanks in advance for all responses.Brandon

if you hold off a bit ... ill be posting my results from the custom grind thats being done at http://www.coltcams.com the cams itself should be done any day now, but unfortunatly my motor is not

i will be arranging a group buy on them and they should be priced very affordably not to mention being a direct drop in

specs will be within the tolerance of the stock hydrolic lifters to allow it to be a drop in. i havent talked to the shop since last week and Geoff was still working on the grind specs... ill be talking to him this week. i gave him info on the current cams out there for the rb25 to allow him to get a better idea of whats out there as well as what id want out of them.

BTW - Geoff makes ALL the cams sold at http://www.pdm-racing.com if anyone was wondering how Colt Cams cams perform. my buddy has the stage 2 ka cams and they seriously rock!! basically i want the stage 2 results for the rb25.

price - it will vary depending on how many people sign up but they will definatly be cheaper than jdm cams.

yeah me too specially if they are as good or better than HKS or Tomei, cause Tomei was going to be my choice, but minivan might be on to something...

i know your busy but if you get time could you let us know on the pricing on the regrinds? and I'm sure we'd all love to see dyno results?

yea ive got some dyno results from my setup ... and an idea of what the regrinds will run ... but im not sure if im allowed to arrange a group buy on the forums. Colt Cams wants to do runs of a min 5 as thats kinda how they roll ...

i can say that the cams are smooth - not lumpy and is more responsive down low

Let me know the pricing too. I'm about to tear into the head of my 25 and it wouldn't hurt to run some bigger cams. Do you have a ball park figure if we got 5?...10? I got another guy here at HPF that might want some cams for his 25 also.

hey don also when you get back to us on pricing what can you tell us about what valve springs your using and how high you are revving your car and such? thanks

i think we'd be hard pressed to get more than 2 runs of grinds ... 5 or 6 ppl is the min to ensure that you guys get the best pricing

my setup??rb25 head - 3 angle valve job, new valve seals, minor porting (basically removing some flashing and evening out the ports), and tomei valve springs.

im reving up to 7700 i believe (rev cut) but my dyno results showed that my power never really dropped off and i could continue to keep revving

Count me in! Give me a price for a RB20 and I'll be down. I'll be tearing my RB apart this winter to give it more power and these will come in handy!! Thanks man.

not sure what I would have to do with it. I'm not a Mod, run it by Kamin or Carl, im sure it will be cool with them.
