you'll need to modify the block for the coolant passageways at the front on the oil filter side of the block, the 25 has a different setup than the 26 and you'll have oil and coolant mixing unless you modify the block or head...even then you may have trouble sealing the head together as there is very little gasket in that area due to the differences in head and block.
you'll also need to tap out the block for the rb26's larger head bolts, a machine shop can do this for you if you're having the block bored anyways.
dunno if you would be interested but i have an rb25de block from an r32 which you can use all your forged bits in and bolt the rb26 head on without any welding or modifications, just tap for larger head studs...block is already tapped for a turbo setup and is in good nic.
