From what I remember the auto transmission's are the same...
I haven't really had time to do a comparison between the two since the rb20 transmission was slipping when i got the car. I have the stock RB20 transmission harness still, I just used the 25 ecu with it. The transmission pulls the car hard from low down, second gear even breaks traction at change.....What I do need to change though is the rear end, the stock c32 rear end is crap. I've got a rear suspension frm the c33 laurel, disc brakes, teflon bushings, lsd diff etc that is going up very soon. Will let you know how it works. BTW, what part of Trini are you from?shinaka wrote:How does the different gear rarios affect the cars performance?
Can the same rb20det auto trans harness be used on the Rb25 trans
by the way thanks for the help appreaciated alot......
Woot! Another Laurel Owner. I got's me a C33 Club S Turbo. To bad you didn't live here in Japan. Let's see the pics....Lamodamo wrote:Well Gentlemen, I have a RB20det mated to a RB25det auto transmission in a C32 laurel medalist...Only difference was the converter and flexplate, the RB20det transmission had a 3 bolt converter and flexplate as opposed to the four bolt converter and flexplate from the 25det.Will definately be able to handle more pressure than the rb20det transmission. My suggestion is to run an external transmission cooler after the stock one (radiator) and run good transmission fluid (redline or quakerstate).
Oh, i'm also in Port of Spain Trinidad.
