I am looking for an automatic transmission for my car. It has a RB25DET with a 5 speed manual. If I find the transmission what shop in West Palm Beach Florida can do the swap? I found a guy that can get me the transmission but is there anyone else that I can compare the price to?

Check with Ricky @ RAW Brokerage - he may be able to assist you better. I believe he is based out of Orlando - so a short drive.

the question here is what chassis is your s14, was it orginally an auto or was it a 5spd to begin with.it will be very hard to make the stock auto trans run in a 5spd car due to lack of wiring and electronics where an auto car can be done with some good rewiring.

I got the car with the RB25DET in it already. I do not know how to tell what it had.

oh my. you don't how to differenciate auto or manual? do this: look in the engine bay, near right of the brake master booster, if it was started out as manual transmission, there should be a hole for the clutch master cylinder.

a good giveaway if the car was orignally auto is if it still has the dropping resistor located on the drivers wheel arch near where the stock airbox used to be...its a 2 wire silver rectangle about 3" long and proly about 3/4" wide...most ppl leave them inplace.another way would be to look at the engine bay fuse box and if there are 3 seperate plugs on the back of the box along with the plugs that face the engine then it was an auto car.

Look on your metal vin tag 'Identification Plate' in engine bay on pass side, if it's still there. It will say something like RE4R01A for auto, and FS5W71C for manual under trans/axle part.
