I've been sitting on my motors for 2 years now waiting for the right time and trying to find a good auto ECU (which reminds me).... I traded a 5-SPD ecu to this guy Justin N. and he never sent me the AUTO ecu back. any one know where I can find him?... anyway it should work with the stock auto ecu R33 and automatic transmition computer S14. I have also considered doing a GM Turbo 350 auto. No special parts every thing is pretty much the same as the 5-spd swap just wiring, actually you might not even need the custom driveshaft but I cant be 100% sure yet. you getting that Jhot motor on Ebay? let me know if you have any other questions. here is mine http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/484576/2 Cjex

i had an automatic rb20det installled in my auto s14...................AND NOW ITS A 5 SPEED. enough said. I had a local speed shop install it. I picked up a front clip with 34k miles on it for 1400 bucks. so far so good. when i picked the car up, i only had 2nd gear. they said it had a bad torque converter, ok,.....no. they had to rewire the car and then it still didnt run completely right. the car used the r32 power/hold switch along with overdrive. but the car held on to second gear until i reached 39 mph, unless i pushed the hold button, then it would shift whenever i wanted. the auto driveshaft will have to be shortened also. you will have to use the auto ecu off the rb transmission. The wiring diagrams are hard to find and hard to read. so unless your looking for a headache, switch to a five speed. but if you did get it running right, you would have a hella fun car. one of the advantages of the auto skylines is that when the transmission shifts at redline, your car never drops out of boost. dont let all the 5spd guys fool you, your auto would run a great 1/4 mile, but forget autocross. hope that helps you make your decision.

the s14 auto computer will run the r33 transmission if wired right. the s14 and r33 auto transmission are nearly identical... I think your problem was all wiring. Im still planning to run it this way ... if I get a few grand soon enuf ill be doing the turbo 350 instead.
