RB25DET 350whp (reliable)

First I would like to say Hi, I am 25 and I want to build an rb25det to handle 350rwhp and be reliable. The engine well be place in a s13, as far as researching Ive tried and it seems most people are shooting for 500+whp.

I have a pretty open budget (full time TIG welder )
basically looking for help to make a solid parts list, and I've been told this is the site to start with.

not willing to cheap out I know the pick 2 saying, plus Ive already learned the hard way.

Are you asking about what kind of turbo kit and supporting mods you'll need, or are you asking what you will need to do to the motor itself to handle that kind of power. If the latter, an un-opened RB25 can handle that just fine.

350hp can be achieved on a stock rb25 easily.
those are the power goals I'm shooting for as well.

yes im looking to make a parts list to achieve 350rwhp... turbo kit, exhaust manifold (looking to get a top mount) ecu upgrades etc

I was even thinking of piecing my own kit together using quality parts, since most kits dont run with a top mount turbo

There are a lot of lists on this forum about what all you would need. Might even be a list in the stickies. I'm pretty sure you could low mount a GT30 on the stock manifold (I don't know about the fitment on a LHD S-chassis though) and that along with supporting mods could easily net you a responsive 350rwhp with plenty of room to grow.

i wouldnt waste the money on a Gt30R personally... not unless you wanna make more power later down the road.. a garret 50 trim 57 trim or a cheap super60 will make 350RWHP on pump gas.. get some injectors Z32 maf and nistune.. those turbos will also outspool a 30R as well, except the 57trim those are pretty comparable as far as spool goes..
