ok so I have a Skyline R33 GTS-4.... and I'm staring at my Rb25 de.... There is no wires going to my throttle position sensor. The connector is there, Not a single wire coming out of it, I'm looking at the harness, there is a wire sensor Underneath the throttle body. So I'm confused at do I need it? This car is fully stock, that's how come I'm wondering if it's neccessary. Car currently does not run, due to we think a faulty fuel pump. I'm going to check for power tommorow and then change the fuel filter and see if I can get it fired, but any idea on the TPS... please let me know.. ( I looked at some of the engine pictures... the RB25DET's have this two plug sensor... mine is one big plug..)

ok so I took a look around the forum again, and Yes... the car doesn't idle at all when it is running it stalls out... and I have determined that it is definitely missing those wires. I'm going to take a look around the harness and see if they are there.. because I don't see a chopped harness there. The harness looks like it has yellow stoppers in the back.... as if it wasn't supposed to be hooked up.

but I'll take a look tommorow and see what I can cook up

My series 1 RB25DET doesn't have the wires either. The clip is there, but no wires coming out of them and it idles fine. I thought the same thing at first.

I believe you are talking about the throttle position switch, not the throttle position sensor. That plug is not wired on my RB25DET either.

the plug on the actual tps body is for the idle and wot switch, and unless you have an automatic they wont be connected.

Ok, so let me get this straight...

The actual plug that goes into the TPS isnt needed?

Reason i ask is, my friend just got his wiring done by wiring specialists. The two plugs my RB25DET has on the TPS, one goes into the actual TPS, and the other plugs into a very short harness that comes out the back of the TPS, which one of these is needed? I say this because when did the harness, the plug that goes into the actual TPS is nowhere to be found nor are the purple with red/yellow with blue, and light green wire are no where to be found in his harness.
