No, I didn't forget the "t". I was wondering if anyone had done this swap before and how they liked it. (yes I have searched and didn't come up with much.) You might be wondering why I don't get a det and the reason is I really don't need that much hp.

The reason I want a rb25de, is of course because it's an rb. Love the sound. Torque and response is more important to me than peak hp. If I can put down 180 - 200hp to the wheels I would be happy. I want more powerband than the KA can give me. Price.

Can I make 180-200whp on this motor with a cai and full exhaust and possably cams. Will turbo aftermarket cams work well with a N/A motor.

If you are really good I bet you could get 190-200 out of one with boltons. Fujitsbo makes a header for them and cams is cams so big sticks would drop in. Hack the manifold put some sidedraft sports injection bodies on it and it would sound incredible. How silly do you want to get with it?

The RB25DET is no monster out of the box. Stock, you probably will get 230whp which isn't terribly higher than the 200whp you are looking for. An RB25DE could be found for cheap though, so it might be a better fit for you in that respect.

search the aussie forums for the write up. I believe among them all the rb25de head is the easiest to mate up to the Rb30

Stupidest swap ever. Why dont you take the 3-4 grand this swap is gonna cost you at the MINIMUM, and put it into a built KA. You are only losing .1 liter stock for stock. Even if you keep the KA N/A youll still be putting out similar power.

just turbo the KA if you're only looking for 200. All the small extra things in a rb swap would cost WAY more than a simple turbo kit on the KA and like the post above says...it's only .1 liter less displacement.

Where did you get the rb25de from? Is it an r32 without vct or a r33 with? If you don't mind me asking, about how much was it?
