Hello guys have a little... SORRY BIG problem have just put Rb25de conversion in my R31 and after 2 weeks of trying to get the busted started i found out that i had a BLOWN risister inthe computer.

would it be safe to change the 10c resister or should i shut my mouth and get a new ECU for $150

also does the numbers on the ECU make a diffrence and can the Auto computers run a manaul engine

thanks help would be much appresiative

I would try the resistor first if its cheap and you know how to do it. At this point the ecu is useless, you can't f it up much more. $150 aint bad for an ecu either.

Auto computer can run a manual, but its going to reduce power when it thinks you should shift. Timing will probably be different as well. (20 instead of 15 afaik)

it does not reduce power. and there is a workaround for the timing. involved grounding a wire on the ECU (park/neutral position switch if im not mistaken)

<- auto ECU on manual RB25.
