last weekend i wired the r33 cluster into my s13. when i got done i took it up the road, got down on it in 1st and when it broke loose and hit the rev limiter it felt like it lost all power, but then when i let off alittle it comes right back. almost like the fuel cut out. i've had the motor in the car since january and driven it daily so i know how it usually feels, and this isnt normal. i've heard that if you disconnect the battery cables it will reset your ecu. should i adjust the timing some? it runs great until i get on it and it hits the rev limiter, has anyone else had this problem?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
