RB25 water outlet pipe

What is the function of this and the solenoid? I ask because I can see the the water gallies on the head, as then enter the manifold and flow to the water outlet neck into the radiator. I just done understand what the external water outlet pipe is there for and what the solenoid does. I have to pull my manifold off and have it machined because it's a piece of I mean ISIS and it's not straight and leaks so it going out to be milled. While it's out I am going to replace the waterpump and do a nismo t-stat just because the cooling system will be empty and I have access, but I just want to know what this is.

Okay so that is the AIR regulator mounted to the pipe and it only bolts to it, has no function with coolant. Coolant travels down the pipe to the front and out..... Very strange lol

Those are just crossover/jumper lines, think it has something to do with bringing up inlet air charge to optimal temp just like some throttle bodies have coolant lines. Think that's same idea here just moved down onto intake manifold. On rb20 those pipes are steel with few rubber hoses connecting them, and that goofy looking upper rad water neck.

And no air valve has nothing to do with coolant its just mounted there, think its actually mounted on top of lower half of intake manifold on a stock two piece manifold just like on a 20.

Thats isis manifold right, is that Greedy exact copy, cause the way those valves/regulators are mounted, its nice and tidy.

I just had no idea why the water pipe had a solenoid on it, and I wanted to know why but it's just mounted there. I was looking for a possible point of future failure. My RB came with an ISIS manifold, nice casting, but it leaks coolant at the head after install..... It needs milling and it's not straight

What happened to your FICD plug? It's completely missing.
