ok i have this whirling noise coming from the intake cam area at low idle and goes away past 1100ish rpms.

ive have a few tell me its the vvt solenoid, acting and one gave me specifics on what he thinks it is.

he said that something is up with the ground or connection with it. He said theres a connection that causes the solenoid to not actuate when the transmission is not in neutral.

any one know any details on this?

sounds like an over tight timing belt...you cant hear the vtc engage, this is not vtec.

you can hear the relay click though when it does tell it to engage.
